I love the coast. I love it even more when it's enjoyed with someone special.
Steve and I were fortunate enough to get to spend two perfect days at the Little River Inn in Mendocino. Everything that weekend was absolutely perfect, from the drive up there to the ride home, and especially everything in between! We headed out to Hwy 1 from Petaluma, the sun was shinning and the view was California picture perfect. We drove through all the quaint little Northern California coastal towns and stopped in Gualala at the market to grab a quick snack. The winding coastal roads can actually make a short drive seem longer then it really is, but today time didn't really matter because I was just happy to be away with the man I love!
The majestic Victorian sits on the east side of Hwy 1. This beautiful place was going to be our "home" for two nights! Our accommodations, Seaside Luxury were across the street on the bluff. Our room was just as I had imagined, romantic, charming and very cozy. We had a deck with a private hot tub outside, a Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and a huge king size bed inside!
I was so excited to be there! We needed this get-away, we needed to have "us" time. This was our perfect weekend in the middle of the week!
